Frequently Asked Questions

The MLM2XPRO, a tripod with an adjustable leg, a charging cable, a QR code for activation, a dozen RPT golf balls (your choice of Callaway Chrome Tour or Titleist Pro V1) and a 21 day free trial of the Core membership.

Yes. The MLM2XPRO uses the new Rapsodo Golf Mobile App, available in the App Store and Google Play. The earlier MLM2PRO app does not work with the MLM2XPRO.

  1. Place it 7.5 feet (2 to 3 paces) behind the ball on a flat surface.
  2. Align it with your target line.
  3. Put the ball inside the orange hitting area to get club data.
  4. Use the level indicator on the alignment screen. Continue unlocks once the device is level.

At least 8 feet from the ball to the net, plus 7.5 feet behind the ball for the device, a little more than 15 feet in total. Taller players may need to place the device farther back to capture their entire swing video.

The device goes in the same place, 7.5 feet behind the ball. Set Handedness to Left Handed under Settings, Player Settings, and the device uses that setting for its swing camera view.

The MLM2XPRO works with any golf ball for ball speed, launch and carry. For measured spin rate and spin axis indoors, use an RPT ball and select it in Session Setup. RPT balls also give a truer shot shape compared with what you would see on the course.

The device measures Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Launch Direction, Club Speed, Attack Angle and Club Path, plus Spin Rate and Spin Axis with an RPT ball. Smash Factor, Carry, Total Distance, Apex, Descent Angle and Side Carry are calculated from those measurements and your elevation.

Yes. GSPro, E6, Awesome Golf, The Stack and others work with the MLM2XPRO. Connect and align the device, then on the Play tab choose the partner under 3rd Party. The app shows a License Code you can copy and authenticates your device with the partner, and once you see Authentication Successful you can open the partner app to play. Partner apps need internet and a membership, and the GSPro connection process has not changed with the new app.

Yes.

The display shows battery level and connection status, and a leveling screen that tells you which way to tilt the device until the marks turn green. It also shows charging and firmware update progress. Your shot data appears in the app, not on the device.
