The BenQ AK800ST is a 4K UHD (3840×2160) short throw laser golf simulator projector with 5,000 ANSI lumens and a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. With 97% Rec. 709 color coverage, it is built to reproduce the natural colors and textures of real world courses on your impact screen.

Setup is designed for simulator bays. A 0.69 to 0.83 throw ratio and a 1.2x motorized zoom let you fine tune the image size from the remote without moving the projector. Auto Screen Fit 2.0 uses the projector's built in camera to detect your impact screen's shape, size and curves, and Smart Warping progressively adds control points to make curved screen calibration faster. Screen Fill offers six native EDID resolutions (16:9, 16:10, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4 and 1:1) so the image fits without stretching, black bars or distortion.

Beyond golf, BenQ Golf Scene Memory saves up to five complete display profiles, including picture mode, screen fill, zoom, focus, geometry, audio and input source, so switching from simulation to a movie or gaming night takes a single button. Damaged or Defective Items

If your BenQ product arrives damaged or defective, please contact Garage Golf at contact@mygaragegolf.com as soon as possible. We will report the damage to BenQ immediately and determine the next steps based on their response.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email contact@mygaragegolf.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Our team will reach out to BenQ to determine the process for issuing a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and provide shipping instructions on where to send the item back.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging with all accessories, and include the RMA number on the outside of the box.
  4. Ship the item back using the instructions provided.

Shipping

A pre-paid shipping label will typically be provided for eligible returns. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Refunds

Refunds are processed after the returned item is received and inspected at BenQ's facility. Once Garage Golf has been refunded for the purchase, we will in turn refund your purchase amount back to you accordingly. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Using its built in camera, the AK800ST detects your impact screen's shape, size and curves and fits the image to it. BenQ states Auto Screen Fit 2.0 works on flat and curved screens with the projector lens within 157.5 inches (4 m) of the screen. On a curved screen, the curve depth must be less than 30% of the screen width and no more than 47.2 inches (1.2 m), and the process may take slightly longer than on a flat screen.

After it runs, BenQ's guide has you fine tune with Geometry on a curved screen or Corner Fit on a flat screen.

Yes. BenQ states the AK800ST has upgraded geometry settings for manually correcting the image to a curved screen, with a grid of up to 8 x 16 control points for precision warping. You can change the number of control points at any time during setup and keep the settings you already made. The menu path is Menu > Installation > Geometry.

  • AI Noise Reduction: removes artifacts and noise while keeping detail, to cut down shimmering in golf scenes.

BenQ lists Game, HDR Game and Sports among the AK800ST's picture modes. Its rated input lag is 18.1ms at 4K 60Hz, 18.6ms at 1080p 60Hz, 9.7ms at 1080p 120Hz and 4.8ms at 1080p 240Hz, and HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 are HDMI 2.1 inputs with ALLM.
