Features

Carl's Place Built-In Golf Room Kit.

Crafted by Carl for a High-End, Built-In Look
Carl’s Built-In Golf Room Kit is designed to help you transform almost any residential or commercial space into a premium, permanent golf simulator setup. Its seamless design allows your turf to flow directly into the impact screen, creating a clean, uninterrupted visual for a true immersive experience.

Each kit may include essentials like a Carl’s Place Premium Impact Screen, a built-in mounting system, and blackout panels with all necessary hardware.

Perfect for those with carpentry or handyman experience, this kit is tailored for rooms with straight, uniform 2x4 wood-framed walls and no existing trim. Using plywood on walls and ceilings can simplify the installation process. For rooms outside these parameters, some customization may be needed to ensure a perfect fit.

A Golf Impact Screen Engineered for the Perfect Fit
Carl’s Built-In Impact Screen is designed to install directly into your space—no extra piping required. Each kit includes everything needed for a clean, secure setup: corner cable anchors, pulley wheels, cables, releasable zip ties, and either starter panels or hook-and-fastener tape.

The cabled mounting system and adjustable zip ties allow you to fine-tune the screen tension, giving you control over bounceback and image clarity for the best possible viewing and playing experience. Once mounted, the screen flaps attach cleanly to the panels or fastener tape for a crisp, finished look.

Proudly crafted at Carl’s Place headquarters in Milton, Wisconsin, each screen is built by seasoned professionals and made to last—delivering quality you can trust for years of play.

Carl's Place Built-In Golf Room Kit Wall Panels.

Elevate Your Golf Simulator with Carl’s Golf Room Panels
Carl’s Golf Room Panels offer a sleek, functional solution for transforming your space into a polished golf simulator enclosure. Designed to dim and soften your walls and ceiling, they help create a more immersive environment while protecting your space from errant shots.

Easily mounted with French cleats and Z clips, each panel features a durable inner core with foam padding, wrapped in fabric on both the front and back for a clean, finished look. Measuring approximately 2" to 2.5" thick, these custom-sized panels are built for strength and safety—giving you the confidence to swing freely without worrying about wall damage.

Carl's Place Built-In Golf Room Kit with Golf Room Curtains.

Pair the Built-In Golf Room Kit with Carl’s Golf Room Curtains
Carl’s Golf Room Curtains provide a flexible, stylish solution for covering doors, windows, or creating temporary walls—perfect for setups where full enclosures aren’t feasible. Easily pulled into place during play and retracted for access, these curtains add both function and convenience to your simulator space.

In commercial environments, they’re ideal for partitioning bays, giving players privacy and focus while enhancing the overall atmosphere. The light-blocking fabric helps eliminate ambient light for better screen visibility, and the clean, professional look from both sides ensures your space looks sharp from every angle.

Ideal Space Requirements

To ensure the best experience, your space should allow for full swings and proper launch monitor performance:

  • Minimum Room Depth: 18 feet (1 ft. behind screen, 10 ft. from screen to tee, 7 ft. behind tee)

  • Minimum Room Width: 14 feet for a center tee position

  • Minimum Room Height: 9 feet for unimpeded swinging

  • Maximum Room Height: 11 feet (if taller, you’ll need to frame down to 11' max)

  • Overhead Launch Monitors: Most require mounting 9–10 feet above the hitting surface

Built for Experienced Installers

This kit is ideal for those with construction or handyman experience. To achieve a true built-in look, you'll need to:

  • Install the screen 1 foot in front of a flat, obstruction-free wall

  • Use a laser level to precisely align components

  • Remove any trim that interferes with screen or panel placement

  • Anchor lag screws into your wall’s top and bottom plates

  • Accurately tension and adjust the screen

  • Follow a provided diagram to plan wall and ceiling panel layout

  • Mount cleats into wall studs or use drywall anchors to secure each panel

This project requires patience, attention to detail, and confidence with tools. If that sounds like a stretch, consider exploring Carl’s freestanding golf enclosures instead.
