It also features In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, support for 16.7 million colors using 6-bit + FRC, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, an ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio of 100,000,000:1, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 102 pixels per inch, and a 5 ms (GtG) response time.

Using the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. This display connects to your host system using its HDMI and VGA inputs, and there is also a 3.5mm audio input which can be used in tandem with the dual integrated 1.5W speakers.

10-Point Capacitive Multi-Touch

The ASUS VT229H combines 10-point multi-touch capability with high image quality, flexible connectivity, durability, and ergonomics. It is precise and accurate, featuring a 7H hardness rating and allowing up to 10 simultaneous touches. It is optimized for use with Windows 10, allowing you to work smarter and more efficiently, and is good for public usage with protection and durability. Simply tap, drag, pinch, zoom, or spin with your fingers for a natural touch experience. All Windows 10 touch gestures can be used on the ASUS VT229H.

Vivid Display

The ASUS VT229H has a 21.5" 16:9 widescreen display that delivers high image quality, thanks to a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 178° IPS wide-viewing-angle panel. With a fast 5 ms response time, you'll get sharp images, and you can also choose your preferred aspect ratio for scaling non-widescreen images - either 16:9 or 4:3 - using the ASUS Aspect ratio control.

Proprietary Technologies

To give you a more vivid viewing experience, the VT229H includes some of ASUS' proprietary technologies, such as QuickFit Virtual Scale Scale and Splendid Video Intelligence technologies.

ASUS QuickFit Virtual Scale's onscreen alignment grid overlay helps you align and preview actual-size photos and documents on screen prior to printing, making sure they print properly, with sizes that include 4 x 6", 3 x 5", and 2 x 2".

ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology employs a color engine with eight preset modes. These allow you to adjust your display easily for the proper color accuracy and image fidelity, depending on what kind of content is being displayed.
